I am worried about my sexual
health. What services are available?
Sexual health concerns are common among people who have urologic,
breast or gynecologic cancers. Many other cancer patients
also experience concerns. Whatever your history, your worries
will be addressed early on and sensitively through SHARP,
our Sexual Health and Rehabilitation Program.
SHARP is a joint effort with the Department of Pain Medicine
and Palliative Care.
Our program addresses the concerns of sexual dysfunction and
sexual health reported by a broad range of cancer patients.
Patients who relate these sensitive concerns to our health
care professionals are evaluated and treated in an understanding
way. Our experts are trained in sexual health issues and are
able to apply their knowledge in a cancer setting. Our interdisciplinary
team reaches patients with information and counseling related
to their individual sexual concerns.
