Cancer has upset the way I see
myself in the world. What spiritual services are available?
People with cancer feel confused, angry and betrayed, or have
doubt surrounding their personal faith. Experiences with cancer
can place an enormous strain on your beliefs and value system.
Whatever your religion, if any, we have a Spiritual Care program
that can help you come to terms with feelings of hopelessness,
a loss of faith, and concerns about treatment choices, death,
dying and the afterlife. Your own spiritual leader may be
of help, but our chaplains have specialized training in understanding
how faith is affected by illness. With such support, many
cancer survivors make a recommitment to meaningful and fulfilling
lives.
